Becca Cosmetics up for sale?

It raked in $US40 million in sales last year and is on track to grow to $US60 million this year, making Becca Cosmetics an attractive proposition for any potential buyers. This comes as good news for investment bank and asset management firm Piper Jaffray, who is reportedly shopping Becca Cosmetics around to interested parties.

According to WWD, an industry source has indicated Becca Cosmetics may sell for three-times the amount of its wholesale sales. It is predicted the sale will attract private equity buyers and strategic players.

Becca Cosmetics has received massive growth in recent years thanks to social media success and collaborations with popular beauty vlogger Jaclyn Hill. In 2015, Hill collaborated with the brand to create a Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop - which reportedly sold 25,000 units in the first 20 minutes of sale on sephora.com.

In October that year, Becca Cosmetics once more collaborated with Hill on a limited-edition Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Glow Palette. This collaboration reportedly went on to receive more than 6.5 million impressions from followers participating in a #findingchampagnepop campaign.
