Hair look: "The hair look for Zhivago is inspired by the 90s film Death Becomes Her. What that idea developed into was fractured beauty and looking deeper beyond that to the obsessee selfie sub-culture of having to look perfect all the time. The hair we're making it really fresh and alive with a dusty texture - it feels clean but also feels lived-in and light and effortless. Once the girls are in their final looks, we're using a nylon thread and wrapping it around the girl's faces and hair. We're using that to create the shape of the hairstyle and to cut through and make the idea of their faces looking like a cubist picture. I'm working with a little bit of Diamond Oil to make the hair shine and then I'm using Pillow Proof Two Day Extender dry shampoo to add a light, dusty texture into the hair."
Make-up: Nigel Stanislaus for Maybelline New York
Make-up look: “The make-up look is inspired by Death Becomes Her, so we wanted to create characters - we've got Lady Gaga cross American Horror Story. We're giving the models two different eyes, two different highlights, two different everything so we have a beautiful Frankenstein. We're giving them a velvet base with Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation, a dark berry lip and then glitter to highlight points on the face. We also have maximum eyelashes and a maximum smokey eye. After that, we're going to use a nylon thread around the face to give a Frankenstein appearance. Brows are very important in this and we're giving them a full almost ombre brow with stones added for drama. Lips have a vampy finish."
