The Australian Women’s Weekly has confirmed the promotion of current deputy editor Juliet Rieden to the post of editor.
The women’s glossy, which currently has a circulation of 400,810, saw the departure of its editor-in-chief Helen McCabe in January. Since then Rieden has overseen the role but will be replaced by new editor-in-chief Kim Doherty this week, allowing her to undertake her new position as editor.
Rieden comments of her role to Mumbrella: “The Weekly is a unique publication, unparalleled internationally, and it has been an honour to work on the title for the past six-and-a-half years.I am thrilled to take on the role of editor and look forward to working together with Kim to continue to bring great stories to the readers and evolve this iconic brand.”
