WHAT IS BEAUTY BOOK?
Beauty Book is an online destination that connects freelance make-up artists with potential clients. The website enables customers to browse through our talented range of 40+ Beauty Book artists. From here, they can select a beauty professional that best suits their style, budget and location preferences.
For the freelancer, Beauty Book is a supportive community, that aims to elevate artistry within the competitive New Zealand beauty industry. Beauty Book assists budding makeup artists with their marketing, social media communication and administrative needs.
WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION/DRIVE BEHIND THIS TO GET IT GOING IN NZ?
After working on a makeup counter for years, I watched the rise in demand for makeup applications. Whether it was a school ball, a 21st birthday or an engagement party, it was so disheartening having to turn away disappointed customers. Our wait list for appointments would be forever growing. I was always asked by girls - “where do I find a freelancer?” Beauty Book ensures artistry services are an accessible luxury for the consumer.
As an artist, I was able to have more creative freedom through freelancing. However, I understand how daunting it can be to put yourself out there! It can be a lengthy process to build up your following on social media. Many artistry graduates are not taught basic business skills. This is where Beauty Book comes in - we envisage our brand to be the number one support network for upcoming talented artists.
WHAT SETS IT APART FROM OTHER BEAUTY SERVICE WEBSITES?
Beauty Book is not just a directory. Our team is passionate about makeup artistry. When a freelancer signs up to our services, they can expect constant support.
