It's been just over a month since Bobbi Brown announced she was stepping away from her namesake brand and it seems she's wasted no time thinking about her next venture.
During a Q&A session at an indie beauty expo in L.A., Brown revealed that she's "again an indie beauty person… I don't know what products I'm going to come out with. I don't know what categories I'm going to come out with yet, but I'm really excited about reinventing the way I see a line should be."
While she said little else about the 'line', she did confess that she's a fan of beauty start-ups, stating: “Indie anything is cool and, right now, most people want something that they just discovered or something new or something different.
“I think the clothes are interesting. We have three boys and two of them, they like to wear non-label things, things that were created in Brooklyn or Korea or something different. So, I just think that small, cool, creative companies are where it’s at.”
The beauty doyen also divulged to WWD in a separate interview that she would be taking on the position of hotel decorator in the interim. Her husband Steven Plofker, who is a real estate developer, will be renovating a 32 room boutique hotel near their home in New Jersey and will be enlisting Brown's help with the project until it's finished at the end of summer.
