Guerlain Parfumeur is delighted to announce that Angelina Jolie – filmmaker, Special Envoy of the UN Refugee Agency and co-founder of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative – is the icon of its new fragrance for women.
The brand's master perfumer Thierry Wasser drew his inspiration from Jolie to create a fragrance expressing the idea of the "notes of a woman", which evokes the choices, emotions and dreams that embody modern femininity.
Jolie and Guerlain first agreed on the partnership in Cambodia in December 2015, where she was directing her film First They Killed My Father. Jolie was attracted to the project partly due to a childhood memory of her mother using a Guerlain powder. She has also donated her entire salary for the advertising campaign to charity.
The fragrance is set to debut in March.
