British paper specialist G.F Smith has held a three-month global survey to find out what the world's favourite colour is.
Taking submissions from more than 100 countries, the result found that Marrs Green – a vivid shade of green-blue (pictured) is the favoured shade.
The online survey invited the participants to pinpoint their favourite colour via an on-screen, real-time colour spectrum. The ambitious project was launched in January 2017 with the aim of gaining better understanding about the value of colour across a multitude of age groups and cultures. G.F Smith hope that the insights generated will revitalise perceptions of colour within the design industry.
The information gathered during the project will help other organisations to explore how colour options can be tailored to suit certain demographics and individual countries and regions in the future.
