Following Nicole Byers appointment to editor-in-chief of The Australian Women’s Weekly, OK! Magazine have just announced her replacement. Former deputy editor of the weekly, Lucy Walker, will be stepping into the role.
Bauer general manager of women’s lifestyle and entertainment, Jayne Ferguson, made the announcement via email on Friday afternoon, saying: “No one is better placed to guide OK! into the future than Lucy. She has an intrinsic understanding of the brand and its workings and I’m pleased that, once again, we’ve been able to promote from within the company.”
Lucy says: “OK! is a brand that has been very close to my heart ever since it launched in Australia back in 2004. I’m delighted to be stepping into the top job and be leading such a hard-working, passionate team.”
Lucy’s role as editor-in-chief begins today.
