Alexis Teasdale has returned from maternity leave and will be stepping back into her roles as Beauty and Lifestyle Director at Cosmopolitan and Managing Editor at Cosmopolitan Bride.
BD chatted with Alexis to get all the info on her new role:
What does your role at Cosmopolitan and Cosmopolitan Bride entail?
I’ll still be heading up the Beauty and Lifestyle department at Cosmo, working with Cassidy to bring our readers exciting beauty news, our edit of the best products hitting shelves and plenty of aspirational shoots and instructional how-tos. When I’m not working on those pages, I have my other hat (or should it be veil?) on, creating issues of Cosmo Bride.
Could you tell us a bit about your background?
I started working at Cosmo back in 2004. I was actually on the front desk of Cosmo Bride when it first launched. After that I held Beauty Editor roles at DOLLY, Glamour and InStyle, then worked as the Beauty and Lifestyle Director/Deputy editor at SHOP. About four years ago it was back to where it all began, Cosmo!
How can beauty brands and PRs best work with you in the future?
It’s quite rare to catch me at my desk, so email is always the quickest way to get in contact. I’m often writing back from a beauty shoot, lifestyle location or the back of a cab.
What are you most looking forward to?
Slipping into my heels and diving back into all the fun and sparkle of Cosmo life. I’m working on an issue of Cosmo Bride straight away (it’s quarterly), so my days will be filled with a mix of writing and styling beauty features, editing bridal shoots and getting teary over our latest real wedding photos.
