Nylon magazine has today announced that it will no longer be publishing a print edition, with the October issue being its last. From hereon Nylon will be a solely digital enterprise.
According to a report in WWD, the magazine’s staff were informed of the closure yesterday and that all print staff would be let go “effective immediately.”
In an announcement, Nylon Media executive chairman Marc Luzzatto said “As a result of the restructure, there will be about one dozen layoffs effective immediately. We would like to thank those employees for their dedication in keeping Nylon continuously ahead of the curve.
“As platforms emerge and change, our voice, content and brand keep getting stronger, as do our array of marketing solutions.”
