Some of the biggest names in beauty stepped out over the weekend to attend the inaugural American Influencer Awards.
The social media event aims to shine a light on top influencers in hair, makeup, nail and beauty professionals with 25 award categories up for grabs.
Celebrating those who excel in the field of beauty influencing, the likes of Patrick Starrr (Patrick Simondac), Kandee Johnson, Jaclyn Hill and Mario Dedivanovic were in attendance.
An award show for influencers is a new concept, but one that brands recognise due to the ability for social media stars to market their products. This sentiment was echoed by IT Cosmetics CEO Jamie Kern Lima, who while presenting an award said: “IT Cosmetics was built on word of mouth thanks to so many of you in this room, and it’s your expertise and authenticity that’s not only been a huge impact on IT Cosmetics, but also the entire beauty industry. Everything is changing.”
The ticketed event saw nominees selected on an array of different variables, including but not limited to, creative content, engagement, growth rate, and most importantly, the ability to positively influence.
