The world’s best-selling fake tan has been named, and the units it has moved in the four weeks since launching is nothing short of incredible.
Bondi Sands’ 1 Hour Express Tanning Foam was launched last month to a large press event and influencer push; and the efforts are obviously paying off. As Harper’s Bazaar UK reports, Brits have bought upwards of 15,000 units in the last three and a half weeks. Further, Priceline has reportedly sold 55,000 plus units to tan-hungry Aussie consumers in the past week.
The tan promises to develop faster than any other product on the market, and the formula delivers a super-dark tan in just 60 minutes (or 30 minutes for a light-medium look), which you can then wash off or allow to develop for another two-three hours.
Melbourne-based boys Blair James and Shaun Wilson launched the Bondi Sands brand just five years ago. The idea was develop an affordable natural looking tanning product to sell to increasingly sun-conscious consumers. Fast-forward to today and Bondi Sands sales have grown by 400 per cent.
