You have all heard of “glass skin”, but are you ready for “glass hair”?
Holding similarities with its dermal counterpart, glass hair is super-smooth, glossy and luminous. As originally reported by Refinery29, the ultimate example of glass hair is blunt bob that has been blow-dried and glossed to perfection.
Currently the look is a favourite amongst celebrities like Dua Lipa and Kim Kardashian, who are stepping out with the near-reflective hair look. Speaking with Refinery29, celebrity hair stylist Cash Lawless explained: "We first saw polish and shine in a glass-like manner popularised by Vidal Sassoon in the '60s.
"He was achieving immense levels of shine on short geometric cuts. Now, videos have began to go viral and hairstylists started picking up on the trend."
Speaking specifically on Kardashian’s new blunt cut, her hair stylist Chris Appleton said on Instagram: "The inspiration was '90s, swishy glass hair. I wanted to create a really intense shine for the hair."
