A series of makeup masterclasses designed for 40+ women is launching at an esteemed makeup school in Auckland.
Experienced makeup artists Gabrielle Jones and Dianne Ensor are hosting monthly two-hour workshops at The Makeup School in Ponsonby, designed to help women re-energise their skincare and makeup regime.
Gabrielle Jones, co-founder and director of The Makeup School says mature women don’t have a lot of unbiased information available to them when it comes to knowing how to apply their face.
“So many women don’t evolve their skincare regime or makeup as their skin and face shape changes with age – often still wearing the same eye shadow that they wore in their 20’s, or leaving their over plucked eyebrows unfilled, or not updating their lipstick colour.”
Dianne Ensor, co-founder and director of The Makeup School adds, “These Masterclasses are designed to offer expert tips, tricks and product advice to help women look great at any age. Just as your fashion changes over time, so too should your skincare and makeup.”
While sipping on a glass of bubbles or wine, masterclass attendees are encouraged to interact with the tutor as she demonstrates expert tips and tricks with application through to colours and products on live models.
The cost is $85 per person per masterclass, which includes light refreshments and a gift from Dermalogica.
The masterclasses will run monthly on Thursday evenings from October 25 (this week), with the second on December 6 and then another in February.
Spaces are limited to 14 guests and can be booked at The Makeup School or via phone on (09) 3766660.
