Who: Thurley
When: 2:00pm, May 15, Carriageworks
Hair: Anthony Nader for Revlon Professional
Hair look:
"We've gone for Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon, circa 1980, but bought forward to today and with less volume and body. There are a lot of women that want natural texture but they still over curl their hair. What we do is put a wave in the hair first, then we run the iron up and down the section and destroy the wave a little more so it's not so polished or formal looking. That's the key to achieving natural, raw, French-girl kind of texture.
I used two key products today, Revlon Style Masters Lissaver and Revlon Professional Style Masters Creator Memory Spray. What I like about Lissaver is that it's got s little bit of dewiness about it which promotes a sheen in the hair. We wanted the front to look tight to the top and sides with just a little bit of grittiness. The back we left more natural with more of a dry texture to it. So the front means business, and the back is playful."
Makeup: Lara Srokowski for Lancôme
"The makeup look we designed for Thurley is all about the architectural eyeliner but ensuring that it's still complementary to the clothing. It's more of a feline flick. The brows have been brushed up to complement the eye makeup. Skin is glossy, really natural and radiant – the signature look we've been using all week – using the Absolue Oil before and after the Ultra Wear Foundation. I'm just putting a soft balm on the lips to finish."
