Oscar-winning actress, Catherine Zeta-Jones, has recently announced she will be foraying into the beauty business – with the expansion of her brand into the world of color cosmetics.
Jones launched her own lifestyle brand – Casa Zeta-Jones – earlier this month, where she debuted a range of vegan leather shoes, with the added promise that home decor, dance-leisure and sportswear products would soon also be making appearances.
Now, the 50-year-old star has unveiled her cruelty-free makeup collection, which is part of the Casa Zeta-Jones line. In an Instagram post, she shared the exciting news, showcasing the new colour cosmetics products – a mascara and two eye pencils.
“Introducing my newest products for @CasaZetaJones, a line of makeup designed by yours truly and developed by the team behind @Wunder2cosmetics,” she wrote in the caption, which was accompanied by a photo of herself holding up the products.
“I have been searching for the best, cruelty-free products to launch a makeup line that makes you feel confident. Starting with my new mascara and eyeliners, my mission for #CasaZetaJones is to create a universe of products that exude the feeling of effortless elegance that surprises by being both practical and indulgent. I hope you all love them as much as I do.”
Jones’ new mascara has a lengthening formula that is smudge-proof and buildable. Meanwhile, the eyeliners are available in two shades – Beach Bronze and Gilda Gold – which have both been marketed as perfect for everyday use.
“I created these liners to be used as the perfect, subtle metallic accent to any eye look,” Jones noted on the website. “And best of all, they go on beautifully creamy and last all day!”
The mascara retails for US$24, and the pencils for US$18. They are also available in a combo pack that includes one eyeliner and the mascara for US$35. They can be purchased at CasaZetaJones.com.
