Now is undoubtedly the time of the celebrity beauty line. In recent times, we’ve had filed trademarks, hints and full-on launches from the likes of Stella McCartney, Kate Moss, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and more.
And now it's the turn of Ciara, who according to an article by Cosmetics Business, has launched a skincare brand.
The ‘Like A Boy’ singer recently announced a new line called OAM (On A Mission), which focuses on vitamin C and was inspired by her personal skin journey. It includes a cleanser, brightening pads, serum, moistursier and eye cream.
According to the brand, the vitamin C formulation is said to provide ‘micro-doses’ of the ingredient all day as a gentler alternative to traditional vitamin C products. The powerhouse ingredient is called Tri-C Pro-Peptide Complex™ and promises to deliver more radiant and even skin tone.
“I spent the last 2.5 years working with a leading pharmaceutical lab and dermatologists to perfect OAM,” Ciara posted on Instagram. “As someone with sensitive skin, I wanted the products to be free from things like fragrances, dyes, sulfates, and parabens, while still being incredibly powerful! I can’t wait for you all to experience OAM for yourself!
In a statement, the OAM said that each product has been tested on 96 women with skin tones across the Fitzpatrick scale to ensure all needs of all skin tones were met.
A portion of sales will be donated to Ciara’s education non-profit, Why Not You Foundation.
