After an incredible 10-year journey, Gritty Pretty will cease publishing as of today, May 10th.
Throughout the past decade, Gritty Pretty – which was founded by publisher and beauty journalist, Eleanor Pendleton and led editorially by editor, Danielle Gay – has had the privilege of publishing 40 issues of its digital magazine, accumulating over 35M page views, and 400K+ podcast downloads.
In her final editor's letter, Danielle shared what this chapter has meant to her, thanking the team in which she led.
"Personally, being your editor has been the greatest privilege of my life," she wrote.
"It has meant equally as much to me to secure an interview with the biggest Hollywood talent as it has to learn that a writer I trained can identify a dangling modifier in a sentence."
"From the boardroom strategies to the glamorous press trips, I’ve loved every minute. Being the editor of Gritty Pretty wasn’t what you think – it was even better."

While the Gritty Pretty chapter is sadly coming to a close, Gritty Productions, a creative content agency, will continue to operate as the business evolves.
