Leading professional haircare brand, Revlon Professional executed a flawless parade of inspired looks as the official hair partner for Australian fashion label, Karla Špetić for the unveiling of the brand’s AFW Resort '25 showing at Carriageworks.
The look
The Revlon Professional backstage team worked on 29 models and created multiple looks using the brand’s Style Masters and RE/START product ranges, creatively inspired by a modern approach to the conceptual ceremonial hairstyles worn by Japanese women in the Heian period (794-1185 AD), considered the golden age of Japanese culture.
Hair Director, Uros Mikic, fulfilled the Japanese brief through loose, clean, and straight hairstyles, and said, “We focused on creating lived-in texture while smoothing the hair to perfect the positioning of fabric and ribbon. The Revlon Professional team worked with hair extensions to accentuate the natural shape of the hair and create several showstopping long looks to match Karla’s collection."
Get the look
Step 1: Part hair in a middle part and apply the Revlon Professional RE/START™ Volume Lift-up Body Foam to dry hair. This will enhance the thickness of the hair through a root-lifting effect.

Step 3: After applying the extensions, use a hair straightener, and clamp mid-lengths and ends to straighten the hair. Still leaving a natural, lived-in texture to the hair.

Step 5: Loosely pull the hair into a low ponytail and attach ribbons to sections of the hair.
