Who: Steven Khalil
When: 11 am, April 15. The Theatre, Carriageworks.
Hair: Sharon Blain for Goldwell Professional
Hair style: "It's really important for Steven to have the hair looking modern, but with a real sophisticated elegance about it. We've spent a lot of time preparing the hair before styling, getting the hair smooth and that cuticle nice and flat by using products like Diamond Gloss and Hair Lacquer. It's really important for us to have really polished hair - there is nothing grunge about it. We wanted models walking out into the audience looking like hair was simply parted in the middle. But as they turn around you can see that there is plenty of surprising shape and finish going on in the back thanks to the secret braids incorporated. We wanted to also create something that can hold a bride's veil, or even a fascinator to try compliment Steven's beautiful gowns. He has a variety of different looks so that one look really had to work with everything. It's a style that could be worn by a girl on the street, perhaps in more of a dishevelled way," says Sharon Blain.
Make-up: Alphie Sadsad for
Make-up style: "The inspiration behind the look is Parisian chic. There was one particular dress from his entire collection that really stood out to me and that was the high-waisted mustard skirt. We've kept the make-up very Parisian, simple and toned-down and that's by focusing on one feature which is the eye for this show. We have created a smokey mustard eye, using no liner just mascara for glamorous lashes, eye shadow and a lightly stained lip. It's a very monochromatic, demi-matte finish rather than creating something shiny and sparkly, though I did add a bit of sparkle shadow to highlight the inner corner of the eye, helping the eyes to twinkle in the light. It's a very adaptable, very easy look for everyday," says Alphie Sadsad.

Nail look: "It's a twist on a classic. Although all the girls are wearing pale shades, we wanted a strong look and a really modern interpretation of nudes and what Steven usually shows. For the final look, the bride is wearing Ballet Slippers, which is our most iconic colour and particularly popular with brides. This shade anyone can wear, no matter how warm your skin tone," says Ali Magliveras.
