Who: Tome

When: 10 am, April 13. The Runway, Carriageworks.

Hair: Jon Pulitano for Redken

Hair style: "We wanted it tough, a little bit masculine, and with a modern version of the 50s. Square, very wet-looking at the front, a bit boyish. We used Rootful on dry hair, created a very low side part and then sprayed that in. We got our Redken 23 Hairspray, and then we just layered that on and diffused it in so the hair dried really firm. Next, we used Argan 6 and then just brushed the hair through at the back to give it a natural texture. It's all about two textures molding into one - strong glossy going into a natural, slightly fluffy look," says Jon Pulitano.

Make-up: Claire Thompson for M.A.C

Make-up style: "It's a little bit 50s in the feel of the collection - a little bit Sylvia Plath and deconstructed - so we're doing this beautiful look. It's from another time but we're making it more modern by each girl having a slightly different look. The basis of the eye is like you've had a heavy eye on and you've taken it off - so just the residue is around. We're using a texture on the eye so that it gives it a sheen. With the lips, we've gone for a colour that's against the palette of the collection on a couple of the girls. It's not a heavy literal drawn-on lip, but has just had the colour pressed in. The statement with the lip is not the application or the texture, it's just that bit of colour," says Claire Thompson.

Nail look: "Fingers today are very carefree and easy with Everything You Touch nude polish and the Matte Top Coat to make them look as though they're not even done, it's that relaxed. On the toes we've got a bit of bling in there with Red Hot," says Karon McKendrick-Taylor.
