Aussie wins big at the Business of Beauty Global Awards

The first-ever Business of Beauty Global Awards were held on June 4th, 2024, in California, celebrating brands from around the world.

The winners were announced at the final day of The Business of Beauty Global Forum – the inaugural annual gathering of global beauty and wellness executives, entrepreneurs and creatives hosted by The Business of Fashion (BoF).

D’you, founded by Shamika Haldipurkar, received the Business Innovation Award. The company was honoured for its diligent approach to launching a skincare brand.

Careful social listening and market research in its domestic market, India, has helped the brand create products both specifically targeted for its local audience and having great global appeal.

Fara Homidi Beauty won the award for Creative Execution. With a distinctive, evocative and luxurious brand identity, Fara Homidi’s cosmetic products are carefully designed with elegance and sophistication.

The jury was impressed by Homidi’s coherent brand universe, which demonstrated tacility, playfulness and luxury.

But it was eco-friendly skincare brand, Conserving Beauty, that had the Australian beauty industry cheering back home.

Conserving Beauty, founded by Natassia Nicolao Grace, received the Social Impact Award for its innovative dissolvable formulas which allows sheet masks, pimple patches and makeup wipes to dissolve completely in water.

Natassia, who was also recently named in the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 List, took to Instagram to share what this award means to her.

"Incredibly honoured to be chosen as the first Business of Beauty Global Beauty Awards winner," she said.

"As someone who has been a Business of Fashion longtime subscriber and following Imran Amed and Priya Rao journeys, it was truly a career milestone to meet so many of my industry heros at the Global Beauty Forum."

The winners were selected by jury members who included: Estée Lauder Companies New Incubation Ventures senior vice president, Shana Randhava, global chief merchandising officer at Sephora, Priya Venkatesh, co-founder and CEO of Sol de Janeiro, Heela Yang, and general partner at VMG Partners, Robin Tsai, alongside BoF founder, CEO and editor-in-chief, Imran Amed, and executive editor of The Business of Beauty, Priya Rao.

The two-day forum saw a series of conversations, panels and events that invited guests to reimagine the beauty and wellness landscape.
