Aussie beauty eds and bloggers reveal must-haves

They talk, write and think beauty all day everyday - so when it comes to product recommendations, it’s always insightful to pick the minds of beauty editors and bloggers.

Here, BD sits down with some of Australia’s best to discover just what beauty products they’re obsessed with and why.

What's in your beauty bag right now?
My weakness is lipstick. There are at least four different shades in my handbag at any given time, and they’re just the ones I carry around with me.

What single beauty product is always part of your routine?
When I’m not wearing lash extensions (which I love), I’m absolutely obsessed with my eyelash curler. And I’m pretty into concealer. And by ‘into’, I mean crazy in love with.

What can’t you live without?
Well if the question is that broad, I better say my husband! Hopefully that didn’t make anyone too nauseous. But if we’re going back to beauty, I’d say a really special fragrance. A whiff of a truly great scent can be magical.

What is your favourite beauty product?
My Ellis Faas concealer stick – it’s taken a lifetime to find a product that hides my dark circles all day and doesn’t look cakey or reflect in photos, so I’m not taking it for granted.

What single beauty product is always part of your routine?
SK-II Facial Treatment Essence – it's been my ride or die skincare product for the past eight or so years. My skin and I cannot live without it!

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, Almost Lipstick Black Honey, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation, OPI Linkin Park After Dark, and Chanel N.22.

What's the one beauty product you can’t live without?
Lip balm. You will never see me with a nude lip!

What's in your beauty bag right now?
‘What isn’t’ should be the question! I operate out of two beauty bags. One contains my absolute essentials that I carry everywhere with me. This includes: mascara, concealer, a buffer brush, eye drops and a compact mirror. My second bag is my beauty mecca - this is where everything lives. I also like to have a back-up for all my products in this bag, so I will never be caught bare-faced! In here lives my primer, foundation, bronzer, fake tan, eye make-up and so on. This bag only ever travels in hand luggage - I would never risk losing it under the plane!

What are the must-have products in your make-up kit?
Yves Saint Laurent Touché Eclat and Lancôme Eye pencils… With two products, you can do SO much.

Is there one piece of make-up advice you always offer?
Highlight! It amazes me that women still do not use a highlighter for their face. Don't look matte and flat, look light and bright - it really is such a boost to any make-up look for any age.

Nikki Parkinson, Styling You
What are your go-to beauty products?
BB cream, mascara, lip gloss, concealer, sunscreen, face moisturiser and face serum.
