To the delight of the beauty-obsessed around the globe, Allure’s Best of Beauty awards are back for another year.
The 2015 awards recognise this year’s most outstanding products and brands, along with the major influencers helping to shape the industry. One Aussie managed to stand out from the crowd: vlogging star Chloe Morello was the sole local named in Allure’s top ten vloggers.
With 1.29 million YouTube subscribers, 503,000 Instagram fans, 1.38 million Facebook ‘likes’, and 63,700 Twitter followers, Morello is a bonafide social media celebrity.
The magazine praised Morello’s YouTube account, stating: “Morello's tutorials on cover-up and foundation are like Facetune IRL. The Australian's posts are on subjects including full-coverage contouring and highlighting, peachy-glow evening makeup, and everyday foundation. And no matter what kind of makeup look she's creating, all her videos have one thing in common: perfect skin.”
As is fitting for a social-media savvy individual, Morello thanked fans for the win on her Instagram. “Thank you so much @allure for my #bestvlogger award at the #BestofBeauty awards! I won along with some of my top favourites like #pixiwoo which is a big honour for me. Thanks to all my viewers, my family, friends and my hardworking agency for the opportunities like this that you've brought me,” she commented.
Rounding out the top ten was Pixiwoo's Sam and Nic Chapman, Give Good Face's Jordan Liberty, Essie Button's Estée Lalonde, From Head to Toe's Jen Chae, MakeupbyMandy24's Amanda Steele, ItsMyRayeRaye's Raye Boyce, dope2111's Promise Phan, Annie Jaffrey, and Meghan Rienks.
