Former L’Oréal President Sue Youcef Nabi has launched a new skincare brand, Orveda.
Orveda is a skincare brand that aims to promote a healthier, more image-positive depiction of beauty, containing gender-neutral and totally vegan products.
With the tagline “healthy is the new sexy”, Orveda made its debut in Harvey Nichols in London earlier this month and comprises 18 unisex products that are focused on restoring skin health via bio-technological formulas and ingredients such as probiotics and enzymes.
In a statement, Nabi said “Thinking of the body and of the skin as an ecosystem (we call it a ‘me-cosystem’) is the new thinking of a new century.
“It’s not a problem-solution mindset: it’s understanding that we need to think about products in the way that they take care of all elements, and knowing that if we move or change one thing, it affects the next thing. In this way, we understand everything is connected.
“This is why Orveda has a deep claim of working 360° on skin tone, texture, the skin’s barrier, clarity, luminosity and, ultimately, the kind of beauty, or glow, that can be achieved by everyone: healthy looking skin.”
