L’Oréal-owned Japanese beauty brand Shu Uemera has announced it will be withdrawn from the UK market during the course of this year, as was announced on Friday.
In a press release, the French beauty behemoth said “L’Oréal has taken this decision in order to prioritize and fully focus commercial efforts on new brands within the Luxury Division of the company. There is no job loss associated with this change, as all staff working on the Shu Uemera brand will be offered other positions.”
Interestingly, only the beauty channel of Shu Uemera is being pulled from shelves as their haircare, Shu Uemura Art of Hair, will continue to be sold and used throughoutt U.K. salons.
L’Oréal is yet to detail where staff will be moved.
