It's been eight months since she first teased fans with hints of a launch and this weekend Victoria Beckham's debut beauty brand - Victoria Beckham Beauty - was finally revealed to the world.
The fashion designer lifted the lid on her tightly edited collection of makeup ahead of her London Fashion Week show on Sunday. The products, that adhere to Beckham's classic, pared back aesthetic, constitute what she's termed a 'Smokey Eye Wardrobe'.
The hero in the collection is the Smokey Eye Brick (£48), an eyeshadow palette which comes in four shade ranges: Signature (burnt terracotta), Tuxedo (rose taupe), Tweed (plum) and Royal (smokey cranberry) in satin and matte finishes. There there's Lid Lustre (£28), four cream eyeshadows with a pearlescent, high-shine finish in Onyx, Blonde, Milk and Midnight; and the Satin Kajal Eyeliner (£20) in Black, Bronze and Bordeaux, which is blendable, smudge-proof and waterproof.
“Eyes are very signature for me," said Beckham over the weekend. "The products may be new, but they’ve been a lifetime in the making. I have always been beauty obsessed, and I want to create beauty solutions that address my customers from head to toe, inside and out. It is all about making my community feel like the very best versions of themselves."
Beckham worked with Sarah Creal on the line, a veteran product developer and former Estée Lauder executive, who helped create the original Lauder capsule collection.
