Natural and organic skincare brand Weleda has announced the winner of its inaugural Global Garden campaign competition. Melbourne based blogger Lauren Doolan of Micro_Adventurist was named the brand's new Global Garden Ambassador during the contest's final round at Waleda's headquarters in Germany last week.
The aim of the competition was to find a new ambassador to travel the world in order to highlight and share the work that Weleda undertakes in order to educate people about living a greener, healthier and more fulfilling life. Doolan will visit 11 different global Weleda locations over the next three months to get exclusive behind the scenes content that she'll share with her followers in a creative and engaging way.
A creative director for an international ad agency during the week and a blogger with her camera seeking out mini adventures in Victoria and beyond on weekends, Doolan says the opportunity couldn’t align better with her desire to wander the globe and share stories she feels empowered by.
“I love the whole concept of the Weleda Global Garden campaign. That a company is so sure of their ethics, social conscience and sustainable practices that they are prepared to be 100% transparent, open their doors and let the world in is so commendable and inspirational.
“I can’t wait to be the virtual tour guide of the Weleda Global Garden for everyone at home. I want to be their eyes, their ears, their hands so they can experience and learn all about the seed to shelf journey of the Weleda products whilst I do.”
