Two new staff members have been appointed to the new David Jones Magazine team - Thelma McQuillan of Harper’s Bazaar and Hannah Gay of FAMOUS. McQuillan will become fashion director the publication, a role she has held for the past three years at Harper’s, before which she was fashion director at Grazia Australia and contributing fashion editor to Grazia UK.
Former FAMOUS beauty assistant Hannah Gay will be joining McQuillan in the role of content coordinator. BD recently spoke to Gay about her upcoming role at the quarterly publication:
What will your new role entail?
I am very excited to announce my new role as content coordinator for David Jones magazine and app, where I will be working across the title's fashion, beauty and homes departments. I am very excited to be one of the first points of contact for the magazine as the team prepares to launch in a few months.
What enticed you to apply for the position?
I couldn't say no to the opportunity of working under an incredibly talented team at Medium Rare, and am looking forward to the magazine's launch this August.
What are you most looking forward to?
I look forward to working with some of Australia's leading lifestyle brands under the David Jones umbrella.
