Nine.com.au saw a year of great change, with a handful of relaunches taking place to position itself as a major lifestyle destination. Leading the charge for these changes was Emma Chamberlain as managing editor, but now the digital expert is set to depart.
Chamberlain was key to the site’s rebrand in July, helping to launch 9Honey, 9Pickle, and 9Coach among more. Her career at Nine Entertainment spanned more than a decade, and included a handful of senior editorial positions. It is believed a team restructure will follow Chamberlain’s departure.
Nine chief digital and marketing office Alex Parsons comments on the news: “I want to take this opportunity to thank Emma for the significant contribution to the business she has made over the years and our most recent audience figures, which showed we have cemented our place as third largest commercial news website in Australia. These are a testament to her leadership.”
