With chatter getting louder over the past month about the launch of a new lifestyle destination, ninemsn Honey, the site is now live and the team is in place.
Heading up the site is editor Naomi Smith, who has previously worked as fashion director at Vogue Australia and acting fashion director at Harper’s Bazaar during her 20-year-long career in fashion magazines. In other positions, Anne Fullerton has been named deputy editor, Eliza Cracknell is the senior fashion and beauty editor, and Elle McClure is associate fashion and beauty editor.
A statement on the site reads: “ninemsn Honey is a new destination for women who want to hone their style and be engaged by smart fashion content. This is a boutique digital destination that combines intelligent, entertaining writing on fashion and beauty with a great online service: style how-tos, advice and, coming soon, a seamless shopping experience.”
Adding to the launch of Honey, this week also saw ninemsn launch diet and fitness site Coach and news aggregation site Pickle, as well as relaunching the ninemsn Lifestyle Homepage.
“This is a major milestone for Mi9 and ninemsn – launching four new sites in 48 hours. Built from the ground up, I am incredibly proud of the team and these engaging new sites which add new depth to the ninemsn portfolio,” says ninemsn editor-in-chief and publisher Hal Crawford.
