Kim Kardashian’s beauty brand, SKKN by Kim has been acquired by her shapewear business, Skims.
WWD reported that Coty Inc. has sold its 20 per cent SKKN by Kim stake to Skims, and Kardashian's 80 per cent SKKN ownership will also be applied to the shapewear company.
The deal now sets the stage for Skims’ planned expansion into beauty later in 2026.
"My mission has always been to create products that resonate deeply – whether it's shapewear and lingerie that empowers or makeup and skincare that transforms," Kardashian said via a press release.
"Uniting everything under the Skims brand streamlines that vision."
An announcement posted to SKKN’s Instagram said that customers could buy products "for a limited time as we prepare to relaunch under the Skims brand."
After shutting down KKW Beauty in 2021, Kardashian launched SKKN in 2022 starting with skincare, and later expanded the brand into makeup, with plans to go into fragrance.
"This acquisition isn’t just growth," said Skims CEO and co-founder, Jens Grede, in a statement reported by Business of Fashion.
"It’s about the strength of our brand and our ability to enter a new category with authority."
