In a huge win for the agency, Coote is thrilled to welcome a publishing icon to its portfolio – Cosmopolitan Australia.
Coote will be looking after PR and activations for the title in 2025.
BD spoke with director, Maz Coote all about the appointment and the big plans the year ahead holds for not only Cosmo, but also Coote Agency.
Congratulations on adding Cosmopolitan Australia to the Coote Agency roster! What does this appointment mean to you?
Thank you! Cosmopolitan is a global publishing icon. It is an absolute honour to call them a Coote client.
Funnily enough, I worked with Cosmopolitan back in the very early days of my career! It feels like a real full circle moment – I would have been in my early twenties. So it's very special to now have the opportunity to welcome Cosmopolitan to my own agency.
Can you take us through how you'll be working with and supporting the title?
More recently we've worked on the launch of their new cover, featuring The Veronica’s! The issue contains an exclusive interview covering their new venture tool – very cool.
We are also working on announcing Cosmo’s launch into New Zealand which is huge, some of their amazing team additions here in Australia, and then some more consumer facing work for the next issue.
Events and activations are high on the agenda for 2025 which we will execute for the team alongside the more traditional PR work. It is all systems go!
You have previously worked for Cosmo – what does this full circle moment mean to you in career today?
It is major. I think when you own an agency you really are always trying to bring into the fold those flagship brands where you can demonstrate your capabilities on a global stage and excite your team.
Over our 10 years, we have worked with so many amazing global brands Revlon, Panasonic, LVMH, and we have also just retained global skincare brand, Caudalie for our third year which is so exciting for the agency. It is a special brand and a special part of our family.
Cosmopolitan is certainly one of those global flagship brands and it is a testament to the trust in the agency to deliver at a high calibre.
I am very grateful for the trust the publisher Katarina Kroslakova and Hearst have put in our team.
