Business of Fashion has reported overnight that Glossier's president and CFO, Henry Davis, will be departing the business to pursue his own entrepreneurial opportunities.
Davis was one of the first executives hired by founder and CEO Emily Weiss back in June of 2014, just three months before the brand officially launched in October of that year. Davis has since been responsible for securing vital funding for the business as well as overseeing global expansion into the UK and Canada, and most recently Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and France. He's also been the most public face of the business after Weiss.
“Henry has been my partner since the earliest days of Glossier. He was one of the first people to understand the opportunity to build a new kind of company — one that leverages technology to create in collaboration with its customers,” Weiss told BoF. “I’m excited for him as he begins his own entrepreneurial journey.”
