World’s most admired companies in 2015 revealed

The self-titled “definitive report card on corporate reputations”, Fortune magazine has released its latest list of the World’s Most Admired Companies.

Running since 1983, the list is compiled from 1400 companies based in the US and 400 from around the globe, all with revenues above $US10 billion.

This starting list is then ranked by 3,800 executives who judge the companies on innovation, people management, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, quality of products or services, and global competitiveness.

Apple was seen topping the list for the eighth year in a row, but has been joined in the top 50 by beauty companies including Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble and Unilever.
