JLo Beauty has this week announced a partnership with facial service brand, Hydrafacial, on a product collaboration that marks a first of its kind for both brands.
Hydrafacial has rolled out its new product, Hydrafacial x JLo Beauty Booster, which provides a customised treatment addition for any Hydrafacial. Inspired by JLo Beauty’s ‘That JLo Glow’ serum, the new booster promises to provide Jennifer Lopez’s iconic glow. It delivers results in a new and exciting way, via Hydrafacial’s patented magic wand handpiece and vortex fusion technology.
The booster also has a quadruple-active formula that includes niacinamide, olive leaf extract, a fermented adaptogen blend and a proprietary Hydracomplex.
“I'm so excited to partner with Hydrafacial to create the new JLo Beauty Booster,” said Lopez. “Hydrafacial is one of my favourite treatments that helps me maintain my glow, so it makes sense that we would come together. Inspired by our hero product, our best-selling JLo Glow Serum, this new JLo Beauty Booster uses a unique combination of potent ingredients to tighten, brighten and hydrate the skin. With Hydrafacial, we now just levelled up your glow.”
“Entering the professional space complemented the [direction] we were going already,” added JLo Beauty CEO, Lisa Sequino. “We started as a direct-to-consumer business, then we added an exclusive partnership in brick and mortar with Sephora, and we have a presence on Amazon. We have a position at JLo beauty that it’s all about seriously sexy science. Our target of our core customer wants to see instant results, and they’re not going to wait.”
Hydrafacial boasts many brand partnerships across more than 20 boosters, however JLo Beauty marks its first celebrity brand partnership. The new partnership between the brands extends the celebrity skincare brand beyond its traditional retail space and DTC, to a more professional beauty and aesthetics one.
BeautyHealth (the parent company of Hydrafacial) president and CEO, Andrew Stanleick, said that as a category creator at the intersection of beauty and aesthetics, Hydrafacialis is thrilled to be among the first to bring celebrity beauty to the professional skincare space.
“Boosters are a unique opportunity for Hydrafacial to offer skincare personalisation for every consumer. And it’s an accelerator for our innovation. Boosters are an important element of our strategy moving forward. We’re rewriting the go-to-market strategy for a celebrity beauty brand by putting the product in the hands of beauty professionals as part of in-office, aesthetic treatment.”
