After fronting Covergirl for 25 years, the stunning Christie Brinkley is now moving on to launch her own vegan skincare range, the Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare Collection.
The skincare line consists of eight products that protect the skin against UVA and UVB rays. The line combines anti-ageing and suncare, with a a particular emphasis on battling the effects of the sun's infrared radiation.
In 1983 Brinkley wrote and illustrated Christie Brinkley’s Outdoor Beauty and Fitness Book, which topped the New York Times bestseller list. “I was actually telling people how droplets of water would make them tan faster,” Brinkley told WWD. The 60-year-old is currently at work on another title, set to be published in 2016.
“It was very important to me that we formulated something that - as much as is possible - protected against future sun damage,” she revealed. Brinkley is a vegan, and insisted the collection be both vegan and environmentally sensitive.
The new products are priced between $22.95 and $69.95, and the line includes a day cream, night treatment, eye serum, exfoliating polish, wrinkle smoother, smoothing primer, facial cleansing wash and neck treatment.
