You may know London-born actor, Joseph Quinn, as Eddie Munson from Netflix’s critically acclaimed series, Stranger Things. But now he’s got a brand new gig – as the first global ambassador for the rebranded Gris Dior fragrance.
The move sees Quinn joining the likes of actors Johnny Depp, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman as faces of Dior fragrances.
“A mesmerising and mysterious actor, he is the perfect embodiment of the streamlined chypre accord of this leading composition, designed as the olfactory transcription of the emblematic colour of the Avenue Montaigne House,” Dior Beauty said in a statement describing the French luxury district.
Previously named La Collection Privée Christian Dior, Gris Dior features notes of citrus and floral accord, rounded off with an ambery moss base for a luxe fragrance that’s elegant, strong and intense.
The scent also bears the same pearly grey hue as the designer’s family home on Avenue Montaigne in Normandy. Inspired by Dior’s beginnings, Dior’s Perfumier, François Demachy created a fragrance evocative of the fashion house’s obsession with the colour grey – “chypre is the grey of the perfume family,” he famously proclaimed.
The fragrance is currently available in 125mL ($390) / 250mL ($565) at shop.dior.com.au.
