#Fitspo fanatics Base Body Babes unfortunately discovered the risks that accompany Instagram over the weekend when their popular account was hacked.
Felicia Oreb and Diana Johnson’s @basebodybabes account was overtaken by an individual who changed the account name, deleted the content already on the feed and acquired its 559,000 followers.
Oreb says of the incident: “I picked up my husband’s phone and checked the page where I was shocked to see only 170 of our 765 images were left on the profile. Before my eyes, the images were being deleted one after another and within a few minutes, the entire account was deleted and the name was changed to ‘dailyfitnessbabes.’”
Instagram has since shut down the fake account and restored all the Base girls’ followers.
