Who: VMajor
When: 1:00pm, May 18, Carriageworks

Hair: John Pulitano for Redken
Hair look:
“We’re going for a Kate Moss in the 90s sort of vibe. The designers wanted some movement, a bit of texture but they didn’t want it to look too pretty. We always start with Redken Volume Rootful 06 because it’s a great go-to product. We dry that in and apply a light tong and then we used Redken Shape Factor 22 Sculpting Cream-Paste, which is fairly strong, to wax the top half of the roots. When the girls are lined up, we’re going to use Redken Wax Blast 10 so that a select few pieces of the hair will really catch the light when they’re walking down the runway. It will also leave a very flyaway meets greasy texture. We’ll probably finish with Redken Fashion Work 12 Versatile Hairspray on some of the girls...we want each one to look individual. Everything I’ve done this week has a slightly rebellious feel to it and I want it to be the same for this show.”

Makeup: Anna Papadopoulos for Napoleon Perdis
Makeup look:
“The look is very clean and fresh with a little bit of a sporty feel. The designers wanted to keep the makeup looking quite natural and neutral. I absolutely loved that because their collection is so textural that it’s got to be all about the clothes today. The skin is completely natural, there’s a very minimal base. We’ve used our Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Foundation to give a dewy finish, and by the time the show actually comes around, it will have almost completely melted into the skin and the natural contours will show. There’s no cheek, no addition of bronze and no contour because on the catwalk because it’s so intimate, their faces naturally highlight and contour with the shadows of the light. There is a touch of highlight - we’ve used our Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Lip Service which we’ve marinated into the high planes of the face and we’ve also applied it to the lips. The eyes are a little point of difference, in the inner corner we went with a white accent using Napoleon Perdis China Doll Gel Eyeliner in Yang and we set it with our Napoleon Perdis Loose Eye Dust Ice in Storm - on the catwalk it will look like a gorgeous little accent which won’t take away from anything else. Brows are simply brushed up and that’s it.”
