A wave of new fragrance launches

There’s been an influx of fragrance-industry news of late. Elie Saab is making his fragrance debut next month, with a scent that is said to put [the designer’s] spirit in a bottle”, according to Nathalie Helloin Kamel, vice presidents of Parfums Issey Miyake and Elie Saab at BPI. The scent’s timeless bottle design was inspired by a crystal object Saab had on his desk in Beirut for years.

We also received news earlier this week of ’s new scent Lovestruck, which was revealed to beauty editors in New York recently, with the help of the scent’s ambassador, Leighton Meester. According to WWD, Wang said of the flower-bedecked cap, the bottle, the scent and the ad campaign, I think this is the hardest we’ve ever worked on an overall fragrance campaign.”

And in other fragrance news, Victoria’s Secret this week launched a Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Summer limited-edition EDP. The launch was celebrated in conjunction with the lingerie brand’s 6th annual What Is Sexy? List: Bombshell Summer Edition” in LA last week. The limited edition eau de parfum is a mix of sweet fruits and florals, while the standard Victoria’s Secret Bombshell eau de parfum combines sweet florals with passionfruit.
