It seems there are more than 50 shades of grey when it comes to Australian women’s hair, and it’s not just restricted to the elderly. New research by Clairol home hair colour, Clairol, has revealed that one in three women aged 18 - 35 are finding their first grey hair before the age of 30.
The study reported that 65 per cent of women would form a negative opinion about a woman they saw with root regrowth. Another 65 per cent responded negatively to seeing a grey, and 63 per cent claimed they would feel unattractive, older and less confident upon spotting one.
Clearly an important part of a woman’s appearance, 22 per cent agree that hair root regrowth is one of the biggest beauty blunders. In fact, 96 per cent of women who colour their hair at home count it as a priority in their beauty routine, and 79 per cent state they feel more positive after using it.
We’ve discovered that more than half of Australian women who colour their hair prefer to touch up their roots or use home colour between trips to the salon to save time and money. Clairol Nice ‘N Easy Root Touch Up offers a simple, fast and cost-effective solution that gives your hair colour a boost, blending your roots seamlessly to deliver 100 per cent grey coverage in just 10 minutes,” says P&G ANZ hair care and colour portfolio brand manager Jane Wecker.
