Kate Moss's hair stylist launches line of products

Sam McKnight - long time hairstylist of Kate Moss and close colleague of Charlotte Tilbury - has launched a line of styling products. Hair by Sam McKnight was debuted at London Fashion Week earlier this year but officially hit the market this week. Reviews of the line have so far been positive.

McKnight's products have been a long time coming given he already has a number of product projects under his belt including collaborations with Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood and Dries van Noten, among others. He told WWD earlier this week: "I spent many years helping other people develop products, adapting those products and promoting them, so I’ve always been thinking that I need to do my own and create something that relates to the work I’ve been doing backstage over the last 40 years.”

McKnight's focus was to create products that are easy to use and will enable women to create different hairstyles on their own. They include "Lazy Girl", a dry shampoo that also adds weight to the hair; "Cool Girl", a texturising spray that creates the highly-requested, undone Kate Moss style; "Modern Hairspray" for curling or straightening; and the "Easy-Up Do", a spray that aims to help people use less pins when creating an up-do. “We developed light, easy formulas that won’t weigh down the hair. You can brush them out or build them up,” McKnight said of the range.

So far there's no news as to when the products will hit Australia, but in the UK they're available at Liberty London from 19 pounds.
