Influencer and entrepreneur, Jaclyn Hill, has been left in hot water following the launch of her So Rich Lipsticks, many of which were riddled with defects.
Following multiple consumer complaints, not to mention photographic evidence online of various forms of contamination, Hill has been forced to make not one, but two apology videos in the aftermath.
In the latest, posted on her Instagram Stories, she has revealed that every customer who bought one of her lipsticks will be given a full refund.
"I don't care if 195,000 people loved a lipstick, if 3 people are having an issue, that's what's going to keep me awake at night," said Hill in her video.
"So it's really important to me that I make this right. So I'm going to be issuing a full refund including shipping and tax to every single customer from Jaclyn Cosmetics because that's the only thing that I feel is going to make things right."
Hill also said that she will be pushing back any further Jaclyn Cosmetics launches for the foreseeable future after halting production on all products and switching factories.
It's been just over a month since the announcement went out that after five years in the making, the range of lipsticks were finally available to purchase. Sales reflected a promising start for the business, however things very quickly took a turn for the worse.
After initially disappointing fans with what's been called a "lukewarm" apology video, along with reports of slow customer service, Hill's latest announcement is said to be the first step towards redemption among her fans.
