The September issue of Bauer Media’s Gourmet Traveller launches today with a new look and feel that’s premium, modern and all about driving inspiration.
Overseen by editor Sarah Oakes, the new Gourmet Traveller features the latest food trends, an increased prominence for travel, and a number of new sections. To coincide with the new magazine, a fortnightly podcast has also been launched.
In addition to the new-look mag, ‘Set Menu’ a 20-minute multi-segment podcast goes live today, further increasing its presence across platforms. As one of Bauer Media’s most successful cross media brands, Gourmet Traveller now encompasses digital and social, restaurant and hotel guides, cookbooks, Chinese editions, pop-ups, bespoke touring events and merchandise.
Sarah Oakes said: “Gourmet Traveller’s core values of integrity, elegance and authority will never change; we are Australia’s premier food, travel and lifestyle magazine. The market, however, has evolved and our readers are no longer strictly defined by age, gender or income. Food and food experiences have unparalleled social currency and influence. They define where we live, travel and how we spend our leisure time. People who are deeply passionate about food and the places that it takes them are united, not by generation or geography, but by culinary and intellectual curiosity.”
“The new Gourmet Traveller meets the demands of this audience with a renewed focus on breaking and covering trends, a continued investment in exceptional storytelling and engaging with readers in new ways like our Lune pop up and the podcast which launches in tandem with the new look magazine.”
The September issue of Gourmet Traveller goes on sale today.
