Meet Grazia's new beauty editor

A big congratulations is in order for Chrisanthi Kaliviotis, who has been announced as Grazia's new beauty editor; and to familiarise the beauty media, BD chatted to Kaliviotis to find out more about what her new job will entail:

Can you tell us a little bit about your background and what you were doing before this?
After competing my Masters in Communication (Journalism) in my hometown of Melbourne, I moved to Sydney to pursue my career. Since then, I've freelanced for various agencies and titles across beauty, health and fashion with long editorial stints at Beauticate and I was the beauty editor of The Carousel

What will your role at Grazia entail?
Looking after the entire beauty vertical for Grazia - writing, editing, styling and the like. And most importantly trialling all the new products and treatments and attending lots of events - it's a hard life!

What are you most looking forward to?
I am just beyond excited to be part of team Grazia. Its such an honour to be part of such a dynamic and supremely talented team. It is just so thrilling to be part of something so progressive, and I feel very much aligned with the creative engine of the title. It's so refreshing to feel genuinely excited to go to work (can you believe it!) every day. Also, the opportunity to nurture a passion for the visual - in terms of styling and creative conception (I'm a frustrated stylist) and Grazia will give me the platform to execute this in keeping with their beautiful aesthetic.

Will you be working across both print and online?
Yes! Digital at the moment, and our second edition of print very shortly.

How can brands and PRs best work with you?
Not too many pitches - hey, that's our job! Just keeping me in the loop of all beauty goss. I am also partial to excellent coffee and avocado on toast as I have no inentions of buying a house in the near future - so breakfast / lunch / dinner / wine catch ups are always fun (and of course very valuable)

Best way for people to contact you?
Email please! I will respond - sometimes the call of the event canapé is just far too great - but I will respond, eventually!
