From editing a range of magazines including Disney Girl, Yen, and Cosmopolitan Brand Extensions to heading up features at Instyle, Kristy Bradley has had an extensive career when it comes to the publishing industry.
Having previous experience as a beauty and lifestyle editor at Cosmo Bride, Health and Pregnancy, Bradley is excited to be jumping back into the beauty world with her new position as beauty editor at Woman's Day and Yours.
bd stole five minutes of Bradley's time to discover more about her new role and working across two titles.
You've had an extensive career in mags. What appealed to you about the role at Woman's Day and Yours?
I haven’t had the experience of working on a weekly, or fortnightly for that matter, so I was thrilled to take a role at Woman’s Day and Yours.
Are you excited or nervous to work across two titles?
They’re both fantastic magazines that are doing well in the market, so I’m excited to be working across two titles. I love a challenge and to be kept busy, so I’ve found myself in the right place.
You've been working across both beauty and features. Do you feel the two are similar in terms of writing style?
When it comes down to it, writing for magazines is all about writing for your reader and entertaining and educating them.
Are you looking forward to jumping back into the beauty world?
I’ve been looking forward to working in the beauty world again. Thanks to a stylish grandmother and mother, I’ve been obsessed with everything beauty and fashion since I was a teenager.
What are you hoping to achieve at Woman's Day and Yours?
To continue on the amazing work the team do here. They’re all so clever and passionate, so I’m really happy to be working with the Woman’s Day and Yours teams.
