Weight Watchers magazine has found a new publisher in the form of Edge, a content marketing agency based in Surry Hills, Sydney.
The magazine was dropped by Bauer Media in November last year following the decision by CEO Paul Dykzeul to close the company’s custom publishing arm. Going forward, Edge will publish the monthly magazine, cookbooks, as well as manage the commercial and media sales for the publication.
According to Mumbrella, the new publisher is recruiting for two new roles following the account win, including a senior editor who will work across social, digital and print.
"The Weight Watchers account is considered to be one of the biggest custom publishing accounts in Australia. The last time the magazine was included the Audited Media Association of Australia’s (AMAA) magazine circulation audit, it listed a circulation of 36,435." Mumbrella reports.
