The BD team trial a range of products to survive the winter months in style.
Trilogy Face Care Ultra Hydrating Cream
I like winter (mostly for the fashion), but the love affair wanes when the wind sucks just about all the moisture out of my skin. I’ve put my lightweight lotions and potions away in favour of more nourishing ones – and this goodie from Trilogy is on high rotation right now. Rich but easily absorbed (because nobody likes that greasy feel), the cream gives skin an intense hit of hydration, leaving it soft and smooth to the touch. And now that I don’t need to reserve Thursday nights for tanning, I also layer the cream on as a mask once a week. Go on, central heating – do your worst! - Katia
Kosmea Rose Body Lotion
If you love the smell of freshly-cut roses, then you need Kosmea's Rose Body Lotion in your life. With a strong rose scent, the lotion is a great alternative to wearing fragrance - with the added benefit of giving you soft, hydrated skin. Formulated with Kosmea's signature certified organic rosehip oil, it also includes gotu kola and hyalurolift to boost antioxidants, stimulate collagen production, and plump skin. I love putting this lotion on my hands first thing in the morning and then getting whiffs of rose throughout the day while typing at my computer. Bliss. - Yelena
Vanessa Megan N.E.O Nature’s Elixir Face Oil
Everybody within hearing distance of my desk can confirm I’m not a fan of cold weather. This is mainly because winter makes my skin as dry as the Sahara Desert, which is why I’m a fangirl of oils - not so great for my bedsheets, but amazing for my body. Vanessa Megan N.E.O Nature’s Elixir Face Oil is an intensely nourishing organic facial oil filled to the brim beneficial ingredients, including argan, sea buckthorn, pumpkin seed, and rosemary essential oils. Supple skin, come at me! - Sarah
Fixalip™ Cold Sore Treatment
I can’t think of anything worse than sporting a cold sore, especially while I’m pregnant and have plenty of other sores to worry about! Triggered by the cold, fatigue, stress, UV, hormones and a slew of other factors, cold sores are quite common - which is why I’m keeping the Fixalip Cold Sore Lotion very handy this winter. The roller applicator makes it easy to apply and the bottle is about the size of a lipstick, so I can tote it around in a handbag. The formula stops virus replication on the spot by damaging its membranes with a drying action. This product has been around for 40 years, and I’m trusting it to keep my lips sore-free this season. - Joc
Scunci Comfort Most Comfortable Headband Ever
At first I was sceptical… I mean, how can a plastic headband be comfortable? They always start out fine and make you look preppy and cute for a few hours - then your skull starts to feel like it’s being squeezed by a torture device (aka the headband). But this headband actually IS the most comfortable headband ever (I feel like thats sentence belongs in a Taylor Swift song), to the point where I forget I’m wearing it. Don it when you’re at the gym, doing your make-up, or just having a bad hair day. Hey, it happens. - Kelly
Shay & Blue Salt Caramel EDP
While I love having a signature scent, I do like experimenting with a new fragrance each season. This winter, I'm spritzing the Shay & Blue Salt Caramel eau de parfum. Inspired by sea salt caramel truffles, the notes of mixed tonka bean, bourbon vanilla, sandalwood, sea salt and liquid caramel blend to create a warm and inviting scent. And don't even get me started on the packaging. Housed in a blue glass bottle with gold accents, this baby is right at home on my dresser. Talk about ‘to die for’! - Aja
