If you think about it, our hair undergoes trauma on a daily basis. Curling, straightening, blow-drying and dyeing take its toll on our locks - making hair that was once soft as silk dry as straw. In an effort to save lacklustre hair from damage, Dove developed the Dove Hair Therapy Nutritive Solutions range, which was recently trialled by the BD Expert Panel.
The range is specifically formulated to provide lightweight nourishment to hair, replenishing its health and improving its appearance. The BD Expert Panel believed the brand was on par with its in-salon contemporaries, with 70 per cent saying it was equal and 90 per cent adamant they would repurchase. 100 per cent agreed the range encouraged them to buy non salon-exclusive hair brands. Madeleine Burke of The Daily Mark explains: “I was really surprised and impressed by the Dove duo. They were just as effective as my usual, salon-exclusive products!”
Daniela Orsi of Miss New Beauty had a similarly positive experience: “It's made my hair noticeably shiny, soft and less frizzy.” Katina Lindaa of Katina Lindaa blog agreed, saying: “Love the fragrance and how my hair feels afterwards”. With 70 per cent of the panel claiming fragrance is important in hair products, it seems the range ticks all the boxes.
This also relates to price - in an age of increasingly expensive haircare, Dove has remained at a reasonable price point. The figures stack up: 50 per cent of the panel said price is a key consideration when choosing haircare, and 100 per cent believed Dove is well-priced.
Sarah Sayers of Sarah What blog is a fan of the range, summarising: “I think [the products] are great for those looking to improve the overall hydration of their hair at a cost-effective price. I did enjoy using them and I would recommend this range to friends.”
